How do I connect via SFTP (FileZilla/WinSCP)?
SFTP gives you fast, reliable access to all your server files from a desktop client like FileZilla or WinSCP. It's a great way to move large worlds, bulk uploads, and whole folder trees from a desktop app.
Overview
Your SFTP details are behind the SFTP button on your server's Files page, and the password is your panel password (set it there with Set SFTP password). Once your client is pointed at the right host and port with the SFTP protocol selected, you'll see your server's files ready to drag in and out.
How to connect
- Open your server's Files page and click the SFTP button to find your SFTP address (host and port) and username.
- In FileZilla or WinSCP, choose the SFTP protocol and enter that host and port.
- Use that SFTP username and your SFTP password — set one with Set SFTP password in the same place (it's also your panel password).
- Connect, and you'll see your server's files to drag in and out.
Warning: SFTP (over SSH) is not the same as plain FTP — make sure your client is set to SFTP, using the host and port from the SFTP button, or the connection will fail.
