Bedrock uses a different server type/egg than Java. That means switching is not just a config change — it involves the underlying software your server runs.

1. Order or switch to a Bedrock egg — the straightforward path if you want a pure Bedrock server.
2. Keep Java and add Geyser (recommended for mixing editions) — this lets Bedrock players join your Java server for crossplay, without running two separate servers.
3. Want plugins on Bedrock? PocketMine/Nukkit support plugins and are their own software — switching to them changes the egg.

You can switch software yourself on the Software page (open it from the Version chip at the top of the console); a Java ↔ Bedrock switch asks you to type a confirmation, and files it replaces are moved to a _previous folder.
