Can I move my VPS to another node?

A VPS stays on the node it was provisioned on — node migration isn't available for VPS instances. If you need a different location or a fresh machine, message the team to talk through your options.

Why there's no node migration

Unlike some services, a VPS is tied to the node it was created on, so we don't offer moving an existing instance between nodes.

• This applies whether you want a different node in the same region or a different region entirely.

Moving to a new location or machine

New VPS plans aren't sold any more, so there's no new VPS to move to — message the team and we'll talk through your options.

1. Tell the team what you need (a different location, a fresh machine, or something else).
2. Back up your data from your VPS (download over SSH/SFTP) before any change.
3. Only cancel your VPS once your data is safely copied and verified elsewhere.

Warning: Deleting your old VPS permanently wipes its data immediately, so complete your data transfer and verify it before cancelling anything.
