Does my plan include backups; are they automatic; how often?

Backups are part of every HumbleServers plan, and this article explains exactly what's included, how often they run, and what a restore costs on each plan.

What's included

Every plan — Budget, Supreme, and Ultimate — includes automatic backups twice a day at no extra cost. What differs is how far back you can restore for free.

Every server is backed up automatically twice a day: at 00:00 and 12:00 UTC by default, or at two times you pick under Backup times on your server's Backups page. You can also make a manual backup any time with Back up now (the newest 3 are kept; a new one replaces the oldest).

Restoring and downloading

1. Open your server → Backups to browse a backup, restore it (into a new folder, over the current files, or the whole server) or download it as a .tar.gz (up to 2 GB).
2. Free restores: your plan's window — Supreme: backups from the last 3 days; Ultimate: the last 7 days; Budget: none unless you chose a Backups option; other plans: the last 3 days. If you chose a longer Backups option when ordering (e.g. 7 or 14 days), free restores cover that instead — you can change the option later with Change plan.
3. Older backups (and on Budget without a Backups option, every automatic backup) can be restored for $3 each, which unlocks that backup for 7 days (restoring or downloading it). Browsing is free, and manual backups are always free to restore and download.

Tip: Click Back up now before any big change — and downloading your own copy now and then is good extra protection, whichever plan you're on.
