Backups are eating my disk — how do I manage them?

Worried that backups are filling up your server's disk? Good news — backups don't live on your server at all. This article explains where things stand and how to keep your disk healthy.

Where your backups live now

Your automatic backups (taken twice a day) and the manual ones you make with Back up now are kept by us, not on your server, so they don't eat your disk. There's nothing server-side to prune: the Backups page (open your server → Backups) lists every backup available for your server, and only your newest 3 manual backups are kept (a new one replaces the oldest).

How to manage space

1. If you also keep your own downloaded copies, delete old ones from your PC — they don't touch the server.
2. If your world or mods themselves are filling the disk, trim unused files (old worlds, unused mods, large logs).
3. Need more room? Storage is often free on request via a ticket — just ask.

Tip: Manual backups clean up after themselves — a new one replaces the oldest, so you never have more than 3.
